About this job

Purpose: The Parts Counterperson sells automotive parts at retail to customers over the counter, through the shop, or by phone. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion products, and offer specials. Pull purchases from stock, determine availability for out-of-stock items, and submit emergency orders as requested. Answer phone calls to provide price quotes, information, and support to outside sales representatives and customers. Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up. Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs and process repair order envelopes for new orders. Order parts not in stock after discussion with Shop Foreman to ensure timely use upon receipt.…
