This position will work 20 hours per week, 8-hour shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, schedule will need someone to be flexible in order to meet the needs of the OB and pediatric patient population with flexibility to back-up on other inpatient floors if needed. The OB Social Worker will focus of providing assessments, resources and mental health support/education for patients and families in labor & delivery, postpartum and special care nursery (SCN). The SW will provide services to patients with mental health issues, domestic violence, substance abuse, DCFS involvement, and those with a newborn in the SCN as well as addressing social determinants of health during pregnancy and the postpartum period.…
