ABOUT THE JOB You will own reserve and backup energy methods for a maritime autonomous vehicle. Reporting to the Energy Storage lead, you will design bootstrap power solutions that enable vehicle initialization, emergency operation, and safe recovery when primary energy is unavailable or depleted. A vehicle that cannot boot cannot be recovered. The reserve energy path has to sit dormant for long periods and still bring the vehicle up on demand, which makes this a safety-critical design problem rather than a battery selection exercise.
