A Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) caregiver is a position designed to provide fill in or substitute coverage at any assigned service site and may be scheduled for hours that are vacant due to staff turnover, changes in scheduling or staff paid time off. Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin provides services. A DSP Float provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
