Household Manager Ambassador’s Residence | Embassy of Switzerland in Stockholm Full-time local position (100%) The Embassy of Switzerland in Stockholm is looking for a reliable, discreet and proactive Household Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the smooth and professional cleaning and management of the Ambassador’s Residence in Djursholm. Your Responsibilities: As Household Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of the residence including: · Cleaning the entire residence to a high standard, incl. laundry and ironing · Ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of household appliances and infrastructure of the residence · Preparing, organising and assisting with events at the residence, including lunches, dinners and cocktail receptions · Preparing shopping lists and carrying out grocery shopping · Planning and cooking dinners for up to six people, including proposing suitable menus · Maintaining a systematic and well-organised inventory of household and event equipment · Caring for indoor plants and watering outdoor plants and the lawn during the summer · Keeping clear written records and documentation relating to the events and daily operations of the residence The position also includes one day per week dedicated to cleaning duties at the Embassy of Switzerland in Stockholm. Your Profile: We are looking for a reliable, organised and service-oriented person who works independently and anticipates the needs of the household. The ideal candidate combines excellent housekeeping and organisational skills with a hands-on approach, attention to detail, discretion and a strong sense of security and service. Key Requirements: · Valid Residence and work permit for non-Swedish nationals and valid driving licence · Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently · Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and occasionally weekends · Clean criminal record, a background check will be conducted · Strong housekeeping skills and a high level of attention to detail · High standards of hygiene and cleanliness · Solid cooking skills · Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills · High level of discretion and loyalty · Ability to work collaboratively · Fluent in English and Swedish, knowledge of one of Switzerland’s national languages is an advantage · Computer skills and the ability to maintain clear written records and documentation What we offer: · A collegial and friendly working environment · An international and multicultural working environment · Opportunities for further training, including languages and professional courses · A competitive salary Employment details: Position: Household Manager, 100% Place of employment: Ambassador’s Residence in Djursholm and the Embassy of Switzerland in Stockholm Start date: 01.02.2027 How to apply: Please submit your CV and motivation letter in English or one of the Swiss national languages to stockholm.jobapplications@eda.admin.ch.
