About the Role You will take a key role in shaping sourcing and supplier strategy within fabrication in a global industrial environment with complex products, technical depth and an international supplier base. The role combines category management with hands-on procurement, giving you broad ownership across both strategic and operational work. You will work with assigned commodities, develop category direction, strengthen supplier relationships and use data to improve cost, performance and continuity of supply. Job DescriptionYou will own supplier relationships within assigned commodities and act as the main point of contact toward the supplier base. You will segment spend into relevant sub-commodity groups and build a clear understanding of cost drivers. You will apply your commodity expertise within areas such as machined components, castings, forgings and welding. You will develop, maintain and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives and preferred supplier structures. You will drive improvements in Total Cost of Ownership while identifying and mitigating supply risks. You will use Power BI and other analytical tools to support forecasts, cost analysis and negotiations. You will lead discussions and negotiations with suppliers using data-driven insights as leverage. You will run business reviews with strategic suppliers, internal stakeholders and senior leadership. You will prepare decision material and presentations covering commodity plans, supplier performance, risks and gap analyses. You will deliver on key metrics such as payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity and inflation impact. You will monitor market trends, relevant indices and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent At least five years of procurement experience At least three years of negotiation experience, including RFI, RFP and RFQ processes as well as contract development Experience in competitive intelligence and procurement project management Experience in supplier and vendor management, including purchase-order issuance, execution and administration Proven ability to build and maintain productive, long-term supplier relationships Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Experience working with ERP or similar systems in a global environment Professional proficiency in English Nice to haveExperience from industries involving complex engineering, procurement and construction projects Knowledge of SAP and Ariba Swedish-language skills What We OfferPermanent employment at Avaron AB Occupational pension Wellness allowance of SEK 5,000 per year Application Selections are made on an ongoing basis – apply as soon as you can.
