Position Description Distributed Generation is a department within Renewable Operations (ESB Generation and Trading) with responsibility for the management of the Operation and Maintenance of ESB’s Distributed Generation asset portfolio. As part of delivery of the Net Zero by 2040 Strategy it is our ambition that we will generate 70% of our electricity generation from renewable assets by 2030. This includes 900MW of solar (dependent on planning and development) and also incorporates 500 MW of renewables enabling flexible generation assets including battery energy storage systems, gas turbine peaking plants and grid support devices such as synchronous condensers.
