They bridge the gap between design engineering and manufacturing, solving production issues, creating bug fixes, and enhancing reliability to extend product life cycles. POSITION SUMMARY The Mechanical Design Engineer or Sustaining Engineer is responsible for managing the Product Lifecycle for Switchgear design. Switchgear is primarily an Engineered-To-Order (ETO) product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered for each customer.
