L’employé(e) libre-service s’occupe de la mise en rayon d’un magasin d’une grande surface. Il doit transporter les marchandises de la réserve aux rayons du magasin. En cas de produits alimentaires, il contrôle les dates limites de consommation, retire les produits périmés ou abîmés. L’employé(e) libre-service doit également s’occuper de l’entretien et du nettoyage des rayons, respecter les consignes d’emplacement et de rangement des produits quand il réapprovisionne les rayons, Il travaille sous l’autorité d’un directeur de magasin et peut travailler seul ou en équipe.
