About this job
Within this network, you will be one of 15 doctoral candidates working on complementary research projects spanning semiconductor materials, nanofabrication, quantum photonics, quantum electrodynamics, advanced characterization, and theoretical modeling. For this PhD project, we are looking for a bright student to join the Photonic Nanotechnology group at DTU Electro and work on theory, design, and modeling of novel optical cavities with deep subwavelength confinement and unprecedented light-matter interactions. Using numerical simulations and modal expansions of electromagnetic fields, you will design silicon nanostructures for practical quantum optics experiments with given specifications needed for fabrication and subsequent measurements by the project partners.…
