Within this network, you will be one of 15 doctoral candidates working on complementary research projects spanning semiconductor materials, nanofabrication, quantum photonics, quantum electrodynamics, advanced characterization, and theoretical modelling. For this PhD project, we are looking for a talented and ambitious student to join the Photonic Nanotechnology group at DTU Electro and investigate the regime of extreme light-matter interaction for emitters confined in cavities with deep-subwavelength confinement of light. Working in the optical laboratories, you will perform spectral and time-resolved measurements of novel quantum electrodynamical effects, such as Purcell enhancement of silicon color centers in optical nanocavities designed and fabricated by the project partners.…
