What You’ll Do As a Surgery Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing, monitoring, and caring for patients throughout the surgical process. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing patients for surgery and providing post-operative care Assisting veterinarians with surgical procedures Monitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures Safely handling and restraining patients using low-stress techniques Collecting and processing laboratory samples Positioning patients and obtaining diagnostic radiographs Administering medications and treatments Providing nursing care to hospitalized patients Completing accurate surgical notes and medical records Reviewing patient histories and communicating important information to the veterinary team Communicating treatment plans…
