A Day in the Life Uses effective customer service and interpersonal skills at all times. Plans and supervises the delivery of all volunteer services throughout the service area, including developing new opportunities for volunteers within the Hospice program. Assigns volunteers to support patient care, provide respite care for families, assist with household chores, provide program support, serve on committees, participate in fundraising, and meet other identified program needs. Recruits, interviews, selects, trains, supports, and recognizes volunteers while evaluating assignments to ensure appropriate utilization and promote volunteer retention. Works closely with the Hospice Bereavement Coordinator to train volunteers to facilitate grief support groups throughout the service territory.…
