About this job
This individual constructs and repairs tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges from prints and sketches as required. Also performs machining and assembly of prototypes, tools, fixtures, and gauges. KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and machine manuals to build and repair molds and tools. Requires understanding of sections, views, and projections. · Fabricates parts with or without sketches and prints using lathe, mill, drill press and welder. Operates testing equipment, power tools, hand tools, torches, welders, and precision measuring instruments. · Performs heat treating of steels, such as hardening, annealing and drawing.…
