Schedule is determined based on the course need and the clinical specialty for each 8-week session Typically, clinical instructors are scheduled for 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts, which occur over a period of 1-2 weeks each session Community Public Health Nursing: Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in an outpatient healthcare center. The public/community health nurse’s role as a partner with the community to shape conditions supportive of health is emphasized through application of the nursing process, beginning with the assessment of the community’s health and wellness.
