Broad Function and Purpose of Position: The primary function of the Materials Manager is to accomplish the planning process to ensure that adequate supplies of materials and services are available to support the Marion production facility and to establish and monitor production schedules for the facility to meet customer requirements along with inventory targets. The Material Manager will supervise Production Planners. The Material Manager will also manage the inventory control function to achieve the goal of on-time shipping, product availability, inventory control, and drive department efficiencies to maximize resources and streamline costs.
