Position Summary The Light Gauge Steel (LGS) / Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural analysis, design, detailing, and coordination of light-gauge/cold-formed steel framing systems for modular, panelized, and prefabricated buildings (including residential homes, ADUs, multi-family, and light commercial). The role emphasizes buildability, manufacturing constraints, transportation/lifting considerations, and California code-compliant designs that support efficient factory production and on-site installation. Key Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design of LGS/CFS wall, floor, roof, and framing systems using applicable codes (AISI S100, IBC, ASCE 7, California Building Code, Etc).…
