Roadway Design Engineer Summary The position of Roadway Design Engineer is responsible for the design of the roadway discipline of engineering. Responsibilities • Conduct engineering activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. • Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from conceptual design to final design. This includes having a good working knowledge of the entire project life cycle. • Create analytical two and three-dimensional models • Make complex calculations in planning or assessing structures • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. • Prepare reports on various highway projects by the highway design engineer for the company.…
