Within IT, the Network function is responsible for the connectivity underneath all of it: the campus and data center networks that link our research labs, assembly lines, offices, and compute clusters, and the firewalls, wireless, and zero-trust access that keep that traffic secure. When the network is down, research stops and the line stops, so we hold a high bar for reliability, observability, and configuration managed as code.
