Purpose As a Weld Engineer, you will drive the development and qualification of innovative weld joints to enable automated, fixtureless assembly of multi-component designs. The Role Lead weld development including evaluation, down selection, and procurement of weld technologies. Design and develop welded joints, processes, and parameters for a variety of alloy systems and applications. Write and implement procedures and qualification plans for weld processes. Characterize weld performance for designs through mechanical testing and metallographic analysis. Establish weld quality control requirements to conform to aerospace and defense standards. Coordinate with cross-function team of automation, design, and manufacturing engineers to implement welded joints into production.…
