As a Senior Geartrain Design & Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for design and development of components within Ford’s next generation EV drivetrains. You will work within the drive unit design team developing production hardware. You will own hardware from concept to production with exposure to sourcing, validation, and ramp. What you'll do... Design and optimize geartrain components and features such as teeth (setting module, helix angle, microgeometry, etc.), webbing, differential housings, shafts, and bearings for durability, efficiency, NVH, mass, cost, and robustness. Generate and update/maintain 3D and 2D CAD of designs, considering best practices for GD&T, clear and consistent notes, identification of critical and significant characteristics, etc.…
