POSITION SUMMARY: The Service Engineer is an intermediate role focused on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and robotics (such as liquid handlers and analytical instruments). This engineer has more independence than a service engineer 1 and is expected to have a good troubleshooting foundation and understanding of most instruments used in the lab, and can address service events of medium complexity independently and of high complexity with some guidance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Semi-autonomous role. ● Handles more complex troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance. ● Solves non-routine problems with some guidance. ● Follows SOPs and performs task-based assignments. ● Drafts SOPs and work instructions.
