The Cabin Design Engineer I (Contract) supports the development, customization, and continuous evolution of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors/payloads for airline customers. Working under general direction at an intermediate to advanced professional level, the engineer autonomously performs routine to moderate levels of engineering design, analysis, and data integration from initial conceptual phase to final product installation. Key responsibilities are balanced across evaluating supplier 3D/2D design solutions, managing part number steering and configuration data within complex PLM databases, troubleshooting installation issues at the Final Assembly Line (FAL), tracking critical supplier engineering deliverables, and authoring customized specifications to meet airline requirements.…
