🚀 We’re Hiring: Embedded Software Product Owner – Expert | Android Automotive & Platform Development Company: Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB Role: Embedded Software Product Owner – Expert Specialisation: Embedded Software | Android Automotive | Software Platforms | Agile Product Management | OTA Updates Experience: 10+ years Location: Gothenburg, Sweden About the Role Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Product Owner at Expert level to lead the product vision, roadmap, and development priorities for advanced embedded software platforms in the automotive industry. You will take ownership of critical platform capabilities covering software download and installation, firmware updates, logging, debugging, diagnostics, and analytics services within connected vehicle environments. Working closely with architects, developers, test engineers, release teams, and business stakeholders, you will drive product value, technical quality, and the continuous evolution of embedded software platforms. The role combines strategic product ownership, technical leadership, Agile delivery, and strong knowledge of Android Automotive platform development. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Vision & Roadmap Define and drive the product vision and long-term technical roadmap. Establish priorities based on business value, customer needs, and technical dependencies. Align product development with platform architecture and business objectives. Drive product strategy and technology evolution. 2. Agile Product Ownership Own and continuously prioritise the product backlog. Translate business and technical requirements into epics, features, and user stories. Drive scope and prioritisation decisions within Agile development teams. Balance feature development with technical debt, security, reliability, and maintainability. Coordinate implementation priorities, product branches, and release planning. 3. Embedded Software Platform Development Safeguard platform functionality, quality, and technical sustainability. Oversee software download, installation, and update management capabilities. Support firmware updates, safe installation, and rollback mechanisms. Drive improvements in logging, debugging, diagnostics, and data collection. Support analytics services while ensuring privacy and compliance. Ensure platforms meet functional and non-functional requirements. 4. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration Act as the interface between business stakeholders and engineering teams. Collaborate with architects, developers, verification engineers, and release managers. Coordinate priorities and dependencies across multiple teams. Facilitate technical discussions and resolve competing priorities. Communicate roadmap decisions, progress, and delivery expectations. 5. Performance & Continuous Improvement Define and monitor KPIs, product outcomes, and performance metrics. Track platform reliability, software quality, and delivery performance. Identify opportunities to improve product capabilities and development processes. Support technical governance and software lifecycle management. Mentor colleagues and promote continuous learning. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of relevant experience in embedded software, software product management, or technical product ownership. Proven experience as an Embedded Software Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent technical leader. Strong technical understanding of Android Automotive platform development. Knowledge of embedded software architectures and platform-based development. Experience defining product vision, roadmaps, and development priorities. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban. Experience managing product backlogs, epics, features, and user stories. Understanding of software implementation planning, branching strategies, and release management. Ability to balance business objectives with technical requirements and software quality. Experience working with architects, developers, test engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to independently lead complex initiatives and influence technical decisions. Meritorious Experience Experience in the following areas will be advantageous: Android Automotive OS (AAOS). Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and firmware management. Connected vehicle platforms and services. Automotive software architecture and platform engineering. Telemetry, analytics, and observability platforms. Logging, debugging, and diagnostic solutions. Cybersecurity and secure software deployment. Cloud-based services and connected software ecosystems. Software release management and product branch governance. Technical roadmap development and platform strategy. Who Should Apply?
