🚀 We’re Hiring: Java Developer – Azure, DevOps & Cloud Operations Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Java Developer for an exciting consulting assignment with an internationally renowned client in the automotive and connected vehicle technology industry. This opportunity combines hands-on Java development with Azure cloud operations, automation, and production support in a collaborative, international engineering environment. We’re looking for a developer who enjoys taking ownership beyond writing code, understands how systems behave in production, and is motivated to continuously improve service reliability and performance. 📍 Location: Gothenburg, Sweden 🏢 Work model: Hybrid – approximately 50% remote, with at least 2 days per week in the office 📅 Assignment period: 26 October 2026 – 31 October 2027 🎯 Seniority level: Intermediate 🗣️ Working language: English 🎯 About the Role You will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for developing, deploying, and operating cloud-based services that support connected vehicle solutions for a global automotive customer. Working across the full software lifecycle, you will contribute to backend development, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement. This is an ideal role for a Java Developer who also enjoys DevOps and operational responsibilities. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and supporting components using Java. Work with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application environments. Participate actively in operating production services, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, including investigating and resolving incidents. Improve observability through logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting. Automate operational tasks and improve deployment workflows and processes. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to reduce recurring incidents. Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to improve service quality. Take end-to-end ownership of technical problems and drive them through to resolution. Contribute to consistent operational processes and continuous improvement across the engineering organisation. Skills & requirements ✅ Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience in Java software development. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure. Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments. Experience with containers and cloud-native technologies. Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices. Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and production issues. Experience with automation and scripting. Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
