International Commercial Lawyer – AliasSmith AB, Stockholm About us AliasSmith is Europe's leading importer of premium Mexican spirits — tequila, mezcal, and beyond. We work with 100+ producers across 43 countries, and we're growing fast. We are a small, international team, and every role has a direct impact on the business. We are looking for an International Commercial Lawyer to manage the legal side of our cross-border business. You will draft, negotiate and follow up on commercial agreements between Mexican producers, European partners and our Swedish company. You will work closely with the CEO and finance and take ownership of contract matters from first draft to signature. Key responsibilities Draft, review and negotiate international commercial contracts: distribution, supply, agency, brand licensing and service agreements Advise management on contractual risk, liability, payment terms and dispute resolution Manage the company's contract portfolio, including deadlines, renewals and obligations Support export/import matters between Mexico and the EU in cooperation with external advisors Draft NDAs, terms and conditions and other standard templates Coordinate with external law firms when specialist advice is needed Requirements A law degree (or equivalent) At least 3 years of experience with commercial contract law in an international setting Experience drafting and negotiating cross-border agreements Fluent English, written and spoken Ability to work independently and explain legal issues in clear, practical terms Meritorious Spanish and/or Swedish Knowledge of EU and Swedish contract law, and/or Mexican commercial law Experience from the food, beverage or alcohol industry, or from international trade Experience with international arbitration or ICC terms (Incoterms) We offer A permanent, full-time position at our Stockholm office An international role with real responsibility and short decision paths Work across Sweden, Mexico and Europe We value diversity and welcome all applicants regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or age. 📩 Interested or know someone who should be?
