You can be a part of our team responsible for simulation, optimization and calculations on the robots. The loads used for dimensioning of the robots are retrieved with simulations where not just a certain load level, but also the probability for that load is retrieved. At the same time the criteria for the material limits are based on statistical evaluation of material tests. However, these are often evaluated conservatively in isolation, resulting in over-dimensioned designs that add unnecessary weight, cost, and environmental impact. We need a fresh perspective on how to integrate probability and statistics into our dimensioning process – decreasing conservatism while maintaining safety and quantifying failure probability for informed engineering decisions.…
