About this job

SweGaN is a European semiconductor manufacturer that develops and produces customer-made materials and high-performance epitaxial wafers of gallium nitride for manufacturers of conductive components and devices. We develop and deliver unique material solutions based on the company's groundbreaking GaN epitaxial technology. SweGaN's products are used for a wide range of applications, including 5G telecommunications infrastructure, defence radar, satellite communications, electric vehicles, high-voltage switches, and more. SweGaN's benchmark QuanFINE® epitaxial growth technology increases the performance of RF and power devices and reduces energy consumption. About the role As a Process Engineer Assistant at SweGaN, you will play an important supporting role within our Process Engineering team. This is a varied position where you will combine hands-on wafer characterization and measurements with technical documentation, data management, and administrative coordination. You will work closely with our process engineers and act as an important link between Process Engineering and Operations, helping to ensure that technical information, measurement results, and process-related activities are managed accurately and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and become qualified to operate relevant characterization and measurement equipment, both within SweGaN and through external facilities. Responsibilities Support process engineers in their daily work through practical, administrative, and coordinating activities. Perform wafer characterization and measurements using relevant equipment, following established procedures and instructions. Collect, register, verify, and compile process data and measurement results. Maintain accurate technical documentation, process records, and traceability. Work with ERP and maintenance management systems, including Monitor and MaintMaster. Support the administration and follow-up of process-related activities and documentation. Assist with quality documentation, including control plans, OCAP, SPC, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Identify opportunities to improve administrative workflows, data quality, and documentation. Coordinate information and activities between Process Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Quality. Contribute to continuous improvement and more efficient working methods. What we are looking for We are looking for a structured, detail-oriented, and technically curious person who enjoys making things work smoothly. You appreciate accuracy, understand the importance of reliable data, and enjoy working with both technical equipment and administrative systems. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently when needed, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different departments. You do not need to be an experienced process engineer. What matters is your willingness to learn, your practical understanding of industrial operations, and your ability to bring structure and quality to your work. Requirements Upper secondary education with a technical, industrial, or administrative focus, or equivalent relevant work experience. Experience in production, industrial operations, technical administration, or a similar environment. Good computer skills and experience working with business or production systems. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A structured and accurate approach to documentation, data management, and follow-up. An interest in technical measurements and a willingness to learn how to operate characterization equipment. Good communication and collaboration skills. Good written and spoken English. Meritorious Experience working with Monitor ERP or MaintMaster. A background in Production, Operations, or industrial manufacturing. Experience with measurement equipment, laboratory work, or wafer characterization. Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering. Experience in technical documentation, quality systems, or deviation management. Experience improving administrative processes and workflows. Why join SweGaN? At SweGaN, you will become part of a growing international team working with advanced semiconductor technology. We offer a varied role where you can combine your practical and administrative skills while developing new technical competencies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience with advanced measurement equipment, and contribute to the structure and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Your work will make a difference by ensuring that our engineers have access to accurate information, reliable measurement data, and effective administrative support. If you are a structured and technically curious problem solver who enjoys working hands-on with measurement equipment, organizing technical information, improving workflows, and supporting engineers in turning data into me
