Senior Design Engineer

About this job

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Volvo Group, you will play an important role in developing future products. You will contribute to frame ladder development and act as the key point of contact within COT E for frame manufacturing matters related to Tuve Plant and our European frame rail suppliers. You will also drive the business logic and governance for frame holes and JointCalc within Product Class 24 and E4. You will also have the possibility to contribute to all concept development of the Chassis Structure area. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, analysts, and specialists both locally and globally. Your focus will be on improvements of the frame rail and hole group process, fasteners and designing new components and systems, while continuously improving the quality, performance, and reliability of existing products. Your future team You will join the skilled and engaged team of Chassis Structure & Transport Adaptation. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with several years of relevant experience. • Proven experience in automotive product development and requirement management. • Strong experience in 3D modelling, preferably in Creo and PDMLink. • Knowledge of Creo Simulate and Generative Design is an advantage. • Strong knowledge of KOLA and EDB is highly valued. • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
