HIL Engineer – Test Infrastructure & Verification

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden Industry: Automotive / Commercial Vehicles Employment: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced HIL Engineer to join an advanced automotive engineering team in Gothenburg. You will work with HIL rigs, test infrastructure, system verification and test automation, supporting the development and verification of next-generation vehicle systems. Key Responsibilities Maintain, configure and improve HIL rigs and test environments. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in HIL setups. Support system and end-to-end verification activities. Develop and improve automated test solutions. Configure and integrate ECUs, communication interfaces and simulation systems. Coordinate HIL infrastructure activities with verification and development teams. Contribute to continuous improvement of test environments and processes. Your Background We are looking for experience in HIL, automotive testing, verification or test infrastructure. Relevant experience includes: HIL rig development and maintenance Test automation and scripting ECU and embedded systems testing System verification and validation Hardware/software troubleshooting Automotive communication networks Experience with CANoe/CANalyzer, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet or CI/CD is a strong advantage. Experience from infotainment, HMI, driver interaction or connected vehicles is also beneficial. Who You Are You are a structured and solution-oriented engineer who enjoys working hands-on with both hardware and software. You take ownership, enjoy troubleshooting complex technical environments and are motivated by automation and continuous improvement. Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant engineering field. Several years of experience in HIL, testing or verification. Good English communication skills. Swedish is an advantage. Interested?
