HVDC Senior Protection Project Engineer

About this job

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in protection engineering, preferably within HVDC, FACTS, or power transmission systems. Desirable understanding of HVDC technology, converter topologies (VSC and/or LCC), and associated protection principles. Strong knowledge of high voltage substation protection and control systems, including design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of protection schemes for transmission and distribution networks. Experience with Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) settings, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in power system analysis tools such as PSCAD, PSS®E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Knowledge of international standards and communication protocols, including IEC 61850 and IEC 60255. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in global, multidisciplinary teams. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
