Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. We offer an international and team-oriented workplace with competitive education programmes, across Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels, as well as a thriving research environment and many opportunities for personal development. JIBS is recruiting Assistant Professors in Business Administration with one or a combination of specializations in Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Organization, Responsible Digitalization and AI, and Strategy. We are seeking a candidate specialized in Entrepreneurship. The candidate should have experience with entrepreneurial activities (e.g., as business developer or founder) and an interest in entrepreneurial ventures that support environmental goals and/or societal transformation. For the position on Responsible Digitalization and AI, we are looking for a candidate focused on the social and organizational impact of digital business transformation, digital business models, the responsible use of AI, and an interest in the possibilities of using new forms of digital data in research and collaboration projects. For the position in Sustainable Organization, we are looking for a candidate focused on the organizational behaviour of sustainable organizations, for example their leadership and change behaviours, as well as their role in the development of new markets and organizational fields. For the position in Strategy with focus on strategic development for competitiveness, we are looking for a candidate focused on topics such as strategy processes and practice, strategic change, global strategy, and project management. The research at JIBS is to a large extent conducted within one of, or across, its three research centres: CeFEO — Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership CEnSE — Centre for Entrepreneurship and Spatial Economics MMTC — Media, Management and Transformation Centre The positions comprise of teaching, research, outreach, and service to JIBS. Teaching is performed primarily on campus, in English, and distributed over the academic year. All faculty at JIBS are expected to do rigorous and relevant research, apply for externally funded research grants, as well as be engaged with business and society at large, to improve JIBS’ impact in the broader society. We are looking for applicants with a collegial attitude and a willingness to build not only their own CVs but also contribute to the organization. To be eligible for a position as an Assistant Professor at JIBS you must have been awarded a doctor’s degree (at the time of starting the position) in business administration or a closely related area from a reputable university and have relevant teaching experience. Applicants fulfilling JIBS criteria for Associate Professors are welcomed and will be considered for promotion to Associate Professor directly or following a promotion process. It is meritorious if you have: a strong fit with JIBS’ focus areas and research centers. a track record of highly ranked journal articles (AJG3 or above). a clearly developed research agenda aiming at top level outlets. a strong international profile and international research network. substantial experience of work outside academia in roles relevant for the position. experience of contributing to EU funding applications. You should be willing and able to contribute to a dynamic academic environment, join one or more of the JIBS’ research centres, and be present at JIBS throughout the year.
