We are currently recruiting an Assistant Kitchen Manager for EGON Restaurant in Bodø – a role for someone who enjoys a busy kitchen, takes ownership and wants to develop further as a leader. This is a great opportunity for an experienced kitchen professional who is ready to take on more responsibility and become an important part of the restaurant’s management team. The Position As Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work closely with the Kitchen Manager and play an important role in ensuring that the kitchen runs efficiently every day. You will also cooperate with the General Manager and the rest of the leadership team to maintain strong standards across the restaurant. This is an operational leadership position, meaning you will spend much of your time working alongside the kitchen team while also taking responsibility for routines, planning, training and follow-up. You will gain valuable experience with EGON’s operational systems and leadership structure. Candidates who perform well and demonstrate leadership potential can have opportunities to progress into a Kitchen Manager position in the future. Key Responsibilities Taking an active role in the daily operation and production of the kitchen Maintaining consistent food quality and EGON standards Following up IK-MAT / HACCP procedures and food safety requirements Training, onboarding and supporting kitchen employees Assisting with staff schedules and shift planning Following up orders, stock levels and inventory Supporting the Kitchen Manager with routines, organization and day-to-day leadership Helping create strong cooperation between the kitchen and front-of-house teams About You We are looking for someone who takes initiative and enjoys responsibility. Ideally, you: Have relevant experience from a busy à la carte kitchen Are independent, practical and solution-oriented Take pride in delivering consistently good food Have a strong work ethic and a professional attitude Enjoy working in a structured and organized environment Understand the importance of quality, efficiency and financial performance Are interested in developing your leadership skills Communicate confidently in English; Norwegian is an advantage Have a connection to Bodø or the surrounding region, although this is not a requirement What EGON Offers You will become part of a professional restaurant organization with established systems, clear expectations and strong operational support.
