About this job
Key responsibilities • Prepare and correctly position metal door, frame and component parts in welding jigs and fixtures before production. • Set up and operate robotic MIG welding equipment and, where required, support TIG welding or manual finishing operations. • Load or select approved welding programmes, check operating parameters and make authorised adjustments to achieve consistent weld quality. • Inspect welded assemblies for alignment, distortion, weld appearance, penetration and dimensional accuracy against drawings and specifications. • Identify and correct routine issues involving the robot, welding torch, wire feed, gas supply, fixtures, sensors and component positioning.…
