Project Description The Virtual Belly Platform aims to establish a Virtual Test Environment that enables evaluation of ostomy products and concepts before physical prototypes are available. This capability has the potential to accelerate product development, improve design decisions in the early stages of innovation, and reduce development costs. In the longer term, a validated Virtual Test Environment could support evidence generation for product development activities and potentially contribute to clinical and commercial documentation. A key challenge is demonstrating that the virtual representation of human skin accurately reflects physical behavior in relevant use cases.…
