About this job
We offer a research assistant (RA) position starting between January and March 2027. The project will investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underpinning fungal meningitis, with a particular focus on γδ T cells as well as other subsets of innate and innate-like lymphocytes. More specifically, we will use an in vivo mouse model of fungal meningitis to understand the importance of type 1 and type 3 γδ T cells in controlling infection. The position is in close collaboration with Professor Rebecca Drummond at the University of Birmingham, UK, and is part of a consortium comprised additionally by Associate Professor David Meya at the Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Uganda, and by Professor Nanna MacAulay at the University of Copenhagen.…
