About this job
We are Earth scientists who accumulate large data sets on the composition of sedimentary rocks in geologic time on modern sediments from throughout the world. Our ambition is to generate coupled interactive data sets, where data can be easily extracted, and compared with other literature data sets. What we need is a data scientist to help us organize and curate our data, to extract data from the literature and to generate computational platforms for data analysis. A GIS framework will be important for some of the data organization analyses. Overall, we need someone who is motivated, with good ideas as to how data bases can be organized and manipulated and with skills using GIS. To be considered for this position the applicants should have a PhD degree.…
