We are looking for an Expert IT Architect responsible for defining and governing solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, fulfilment of business requirements and delivery of secure, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions. Our role is to deliver value by providing a strong technology organisation that enables effortless, end‑to‑end digital customer journeys. We do this by enhancing Nordea’s credit card offerings and delivering convenient consumer lending solutions for our customers. Main responsibilities in this role: Lead strategic architectural discussions to reduce complexity, enhance organizational agility, improve cost efficiency, mitigate risks and strengthen overall business outcomes Ensure a comprehensive understanding of both current and future applications and IT infrastructure landscapes, proactively identifying gaps, dependencies and areas requiring improvement Design architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic technology roadmap Develop and maintain comprehensive solution design documentation, incorporating detailed process flows, system architecture diagrams, and data models to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business and technical requirements Collaborate with the architecture community, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on solution design, technical standards, and delivery objectives Who you are This is the right role for you if you: Act proactively and decisively, navigating ambiguity with confidence Are strategic and structured, yet able to operate comfortably across strategic, tactical, and operational levels Communicate with clarity, negotiate effectively, and are not afraid to challenge decisions to drive the best outcomes Thrive on collaborating with diverse teams to ensure architecture is communicated effectively and consistently Excel at facilitation, understanding the interplay between technology, data and business Focus on personal development and mentor others to enhance effectiveness Your background and skills include: 10+ years’ of experience with delivering solution architecture, through detailed process, system diagrams and data modelling Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture and governance Knowledge of integration technologies and application integration patterns Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Excellent stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills in English It would be ideal if you also have: Experience in the financial services or banking sector, especially with retail products Knowledge of process automation platforms: specifically Pega Experience in working in agile methodology (SAFe) What we offer Collaboration.
