Advisor for all issues regarding Reservoir Engineering with the mandate to recommend and lead required QA and QC activities and improvements for all projects (exploration, development, brownfield, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) etc.) in Business Unit Norway Act as Owner or Owners Representative for relevant elements of the Business Unit Norway Business Management System (BMS) and Technical Requirements Active coach and mentor for staff to ensure technical integrity of projects and to develop and broaden technical skills; provide individual QA peer assist (QAA) when requested Act as technical expert or lead for ad-hoc projects and studies when required Present work at internal and external forums (including relevant licence committee meetings) and contribute to technical publications Act as technical expert providing technically sound advice and recommendations (expertise) to project teams, team leads, and management Support the functional management of the BU Reservoir Engineering skill pool as required, maintain overviews of competencies within the relevant discipline, support recruitment and interview processes, and recommend mandatory training Promote technical excellence through sharing best practice and lessons learned through the organisation Participate in audits and verifications of partners and contractors as necessary, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards Participate in internal and external investigations as necessary, ensuring the identification and implementation of lessons learned and corrective actions Provide technical support to tenders and contracts as required Support in Technology Assessment and throughout potential Technology Qualification Programs when new technology or new technology applications are required Education requirements and Work Experience: University degree, preferably Master or PhD, in relevant subject Minimum 15 years of experience in the E&P industry Demonstrated success in coaching and mentoring Excellent understanding of field development and simulation modelling Highly competent with reservoir engineering methods and applications including technical software such as Eclipse, Petrel, OFM and others Track record of effective multi-disciplinary team working and networking across the organization Ability to identify and quantify the main uncertainties and risks in appraisal, field development and reservoir management Experience from supporting well planning and operational activities Personal qualities/skills: Care, work together, deliver and aim high Well-developed interpersonal skills and social competency to work in a multicultural environment, cooperate with interdisciplinary teams, and network across the organisation Contribute to effective decision making in reservoir management and field development via a value and risk-based mindset Strong networking skills for frequent interaction with team members, specialists from other functions and departments, as well as management Demonstrate knowledge through working in multidisciplinary teams, mentoring and contributing to skill networks Be able to lead peer assist and peer review sessions English: Fluent oral and written Norwegian: Fluent oral and written preferred as additional language In September 2024, Harbour Energy plc successfully completed the acquisition of Wintershall Dea AG's upstream assets.
