Are you a Chemical Engineer driven to optimize energy production through advanced process simulation and data analysis, and ready to make a tangible impact on our AI-native journey? Need to have Final year student or recent graduate with an M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering. Strong fundamental understanding of process engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, mass/energy balance, chemical reactions). Proficiency in Norwegian and fluent in English. Strong analytical skills, able to connect calculations and data to practical decisions. Curiosity for complex, real-world operational challenges and process optimization. Nice to have Academic achievement with a 'B' average or higher (or equivalent), or 'C' average with strong relevant experience. Relevant experience (internships, academic projects, thesis) in process engineering, oil & gas operations, or PVT. Working knowledge or eagerness to learn process simulation and data analysis tools (e.g., Unisim, Resolve, PVT-Sim, Aize, Charts, Canvas, PI-Vision, SeeQ, Cowork); Python knowledge is a plus. A self-starter who takes ownership of learning and development. A collaborative team player who actively shares knowledge and contributes. An adaptable mindset, open to understanding other domains like well, petroleum, PVT, and allocation. A drive to continuously improve processes and challenge the status quo. Through active involvement with asset teams and advanced simulation tools, you will develop the skills to tackle complex technical problems and contribute to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement by optimizing production processes. Network model evolution Maintain and evolve network models for various assets, gaining a holistic understanding of our production systems. AI-Driven optimization Apply data analysis and AI tools to solve tangible technical problems in production optimization and efficiency. Cross-functional collaboration Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, running feasibility studies and providing data-driven recommendations for asset decisions. Productivity & Optimization Contribute to our 3x productivity ambition by identifying and implementing innovative process optimization opportunities. Advanced simulation tools Gain deep proficiency in industry-leading process simulation software like Unisim, Resolve, and PVT-Sim. Your journey in process engineering This program offers a comprehensive development path where you'll gain a holistic understanding of our production processes and contribute to our AI-native vision. You'll rotate through core responsibilities, building expertise in critical areas of process engineering. Network model evolution Actively maintain and evolve complex network models for various assets, gaining deep insight into production systems. Advanced process simulation Master industry-leading simulation tools like Unisim, Resolve, and PVT-Sim to analyze and optimize processes. Data-driven optimization Utilize data analysis and AI tools (e.g., Aize, SeeQ) to identify opportunities for production optimization and efficiency gains. Feasibility & Recommendations Conduct feasibility studies and provide data-backed recommendations to asset teams, influencing practical decisions. Cross-functional collaboration Collaborate closely with asset teams and develop an understanding of related domains like well, petroleum, and PVT. AI Integration Contribute to Aker BP's AI-native ambition by applying advanced analytics and machine learning to operational data.
