The Role Complex chemical plants don't stay safe by accident. Every day, hundreds of operational decisions, maintenance activities, modifications and inspections determine whether critical safety barriers continue to do exactly what they were designed to do. As a Process Safety Engineer – Operational Process Safety, you ensure those barriers remain effective throughout the plant's entire lifecycle. You work at the intersection of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HSE. Rather than focusing primarily on hazard studies for new designs, your focus is on safeguarding the integrity of existing installations, ensuring that changes are properly controlled, and making sure critical protection systems continue to perform when they are needed most.
