About this job

DTU Chemical Engineering is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to work on CO 2 quality assessment, and pilot-scale CO 2 capture. The position is part of a large MSCA project called MISSION-CCS focused towards accelerating the implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies worldwide. You will investigate amine-carry over in CO 2 produced in CO 2 capture. Small impurities will be carried into the gas transportation system which include compression and liquefaction. The impurities will pose a safety and lifetime estimation risk to the system as they are very corrosive. There is a need to expand the knowledge of impurities during transportation of compressed and liquefied CO 2 under the impact of relevant impurities.
