If you are an ambitious early-career scientist seeking to build a strong foundation at the interface of fungal biology, microscopy, and food innovation, this position offers a unique opportunity within a highly interdisciplinary and inspiring research environment. You will develop advanced expertise in food science, fungal biology, fungal genetics and transcriptomics, alongside state-of-the-art confocal microscopy and hands-on food prototyping. This position is a part of BRIGHT's mission- oriented Microbial Food research programme (“referred to as Mission 2”), which aims to build an AI-powered framework for the rational design of microbial foods that meet four targets: consumer acceptance, health, sustainability and scalability.
